New Survey reveals UK Home Workers’ biggest Bugbears
20 Nov 2023

Dodgy internet, terrible tech, and missing office banter are the things that most annoy the UK’s home workers, according to new research from Vodafone Business and RingCentral.

The survey of over 2,000 hybrid workers in the UK revealed their top 10 bugbears:

25% are frustrated with battling poor broadband

23% said tech not working properly is an issue

23% struggle with a lack of conversation

22% dislike that increased energy bills weren’t supplemented by their company

20% find it tricky when family members walk in during a call

17% feel unable to control work/life balance

16% feel lonely

15% dislike video calls freezing mid flow

11% don’t like calls dropping out, and then they can’t get the person back

10% dislike the limited options for lunch at home

So, apparently there’s a whole lot of things that can make working from home not so fun.

But hang on, the team at Halo intranet love working from home! Oh, but that’s because we use Halo to create a seamless remote working experience!

Okay, so Halo can’t take you out to lunch or stop a toddler from crashing your Zoom call, but it can help to tackle so many of those all too common working-from-home bugbears and transform the experience of remote teams.

It’s what we’re here for.

At Halo, we refuse to accept that remote workers’ everyday stresses, such as isolation, loneliness, and poor tech, are the new normal.

Halo intranet was specifically built to help remote teams to thrive by improving digital wellbeing  targeting connectivity, collaboration, wellbeing, focus, and team culture.
